If you want to:

-Communicate seemingly just by telepathy

It’s a list that seemingly everyone wants, yet there never seems be a clear way to get there.. except there is. For you. Not just for a professional. Not just for someone braver, younger, smarter, better. Not just for someone with loads of time and money on their hands. Not just for those talented people who just seem to “get it”.

And no. It’s not snake oil. Or a magic supplement that will cure everything.

But it is something you can do.

Boundaries.

And yep, I know boundaries don’t sound sexy. But every time I try to describe what they do, I find myself returning to that quote that says “boundaries are the distance where I can love you and me simultaneously”. By creating boundaries you are creating that place for yourself, but also for your horse.

And no. It’s not just doing endless groundwork exercises in a rope halter with a stick (though you are welcome to do so, it’s also not not that!). It’s about opening a line of communication with your horse, where both of you get to say, calmly and quietly, what’s okay and what’s not okay.

It’s as simple and as difficult as that.

All of the above (yes, all) can be achieved by creating clearer, softer, easier, boundaries.
