Many many more - just general superstar!
Now semi-retired, Fox is still the most important horse on the property. He is my heart horse and a total unicorn. I bought him from Nicky Turner when I was 17, and he took me from pony club, to winning the CCI** at Sydney 3Day, to completing the CCI4**** four years in a row, to grand prix showjumping. He is the bravest, soundest, most incredible horse a girl could ever dream of. Together we completed over 100 one day events and over 15 three day events. He won most of the straight dressage tests he entered, and placed in mini-prixs and grand prix showjumping. He also recently won the Mirabella’s Got Talent for jumping plastic chairs in a headcollar and tinsel!
Junior in the (now) 2** at Mudgee One Day Event 2018
Kinnordy Giuliani II
Paddock Name: Junior
DOB: 2009
Breed: Warmblood
Level: 2** eventing, novice dressage, 1.15m showjumping
Junior is a really cute kid! Despite officially being 10, he is still a proper baby! I went looking for a “happy young horse” and I definitely found that in him! I bought him from Izabella Stone, intrigued when she told me she was selling the younger brother of her two world cup jumpers (Kinnordy Giuliani and Cosmorex Coffee Latte) who I had always enjoyed watching. He is a proper class clown, has plenty of movement and plenty of scope, and just needs to grow up into it a little more!!! He is always super fun to have around, and when he’s not getting up to shenanigans he is a lovely horse to sit on. Definitely one for the future!
Cadiz at the hunter valley showjumping championships - photo from geosnapshot
Copabella Cadiz
Paddock Name: Cadiz
DOB: 2005
Breed: Warmblood
Level: Previous world cup show jumper, 1.25m with me, 1* eventing, novice level dressage
Notable Achievements (with me!):
2nd at his first ever event in the EVA80 at Gundagai 2018
5th in the 1.10m at Bega Show 2018
4th in the 1.20m Speed Class, Canberra show 2019
Cadiz was the horse that came along when I wasn’t looking for another horse. Having previously worked at Copabella, and having had his son, Copabella Cascade, I had followed Cadiz’s career from afar. He was a stallion for much of his life, traveled to Europe and back, and up until he came to me was campaigned at world cup level by Brooke Campbell. He was also known as an angry hot head. On a whim I tried him and just adored him from the first moment. I didn’t know why I was buying him; he didn’t seem to want to jump world cup any more, I (still) have no idea if he will want to be an eventer… but I love him. Who knows what we will do together, but I’m so enjoying the journey of learning to ride him!
Legs free jumping 2018
AMW Cognac
Paddock Name: Legs
DOB: 2010
Breed: Warmblood
Legs was bred by Marcia Williamson and sent to me to sell. I absolutely adored him, and really thought he could be a top level horse but had no way to buy him. A few months in he tried pretty hard to die from colic. By that I mean the vet was there, with the drugs ready to euthanise him. Except that the wonderful vet had been so taken with him that she couldn’t. So she offered to take him and have the necessary surgery done. Only Legs made a miracle recovery and never had the surgery. So long story short, he is now owned partly by myself, Marcia and the vet to whom he owes his life; Laura Lee. He hasn’t done a whole lot yet, but he’s pretty special and I can’t wait to see what he does… with any luck he will make a top level horse so that everyone gets to hear his pretty amazing story that I have so badly summarised above!
